Jurong Point at Boon Lay, one stop west of Lakeside, is one of the largest malls in the west, with supermarkets, a cinema, food courts and the bus interchange beneath it, about 1.6 km from Lucerne Grand in a straight line.

Each destination around Lucerne Grand suits a different kind of trip. Lucerne Galleria handles the daily needs: groceries on the way home from the MRT, a coffee on the plaza, or dinner without leaving the development. Jurong Point, one stop west, covers the weekly shop and errands that need a larger selection of stores, with the bus interchange beneath it for onward journeys across the west.

The Jurong Gateway malls are the choice for a longer outing: a film, a department store visit, a family meal or shopping for furniture and household goods at IMM. Because JEM and Westgate sit on top of the Jurong East interchange, the trip combines easily with other journeys on the North-South Line, and the return to Lakeside is a two-stop ride.
