Jurong Lake Gardens, Next to Lucerne Grand

Jurong Lake Gardens is Singapore’s third national garden and the first in the heartlands, spread across 90 hectares around Jurong Lake. For residents of Lucerne Grand, which CDL describes as a short stroll from the gardens, it is the backyard of the development: a lakeside landscape of meadows, wetlands, play gardens and promenades on the other side of Yuan Ching Road.

Three Gardens Around One Lake Near Lucerne Grand

NParks organises the gardens in three parts. Lakeside Garden, on the western shore closest to Lucerne Grand, is the most natural of the three, with grasslands, freshwater swamp forest, a nature play garden for children and boardwalks over the water. The rejuvenated Chinese and Japanese Gardens occupy the islands to the south, with their pagodas, bridges and landscaped courtyards restored; NParks completed the national garden when they reopened in September 2024.

Together they create one of the largest continuous green spaces in western Singapore, designed for families, runners, cyclists and anyone who simply wants a quiet bench by the water at the end of the day.

What Lucerne Grand Residents Use It For

The gardens suit the rhythm of a weekday as much as a weekend. An early run or a cycle around the lake before the commute, a walk with the dog in the evening, a picnic on the lawns on Saturday, or an afternoon at the nature play garden with young children — all are within reach of a Lucerne Grand home without getting in a car.

The new Science Centre is being built beside the gardens, adding another family destination to the lakeside. On the development itself, the Wellness Valley and the Pets Garden on level 1 continue the green setting indoors; the amenities page covers them.

Lakeside Garden Spaces for Lucerne Grand Families

Lakeside Garden is the part of the gardens most Lucerne Grand residents will use week to week. NParks lists Forest Ramble, a nature play garden for children, alongside Clusia Cove for water play, a dog run, a skatepark, allotment gardens available for rent, and a therapeutic garden designed for quiet rest. Rasau Walk, the freshwater swamp forest and the floating wetlands line the water’s edge.

Because these spaces are free to enter and spread across the western shore, they suit short visits: half an hour at the playground after school, a lap of the lake on a Sunday morning, or a stroll on to the Chinese and Japanese Gardens when there is more time.

Lake Views from Lucerne Grand

Higher floors on the eastern side of Lucerne Grand look out over Jurong Lake and the gardens towards the Jurong East skyline. All views shown on this site are artist’s impressions; actual views vary by unit, floor and orientation, the developer does not guarantee that any view will remain available or unobstructed, and the land east of the site is earmarked for future development. The drone viewouts show the outlook from three heights, and the location page maps the surroundings.
